The Pleasure Is All Mine

Here's a poem for a very dreary Wednesday morning after the great win by the Pistons!
This one first appeared in Illya's Honey. Happy Wednesday to all!

You Can’t See It In This Picture

There’s a tiara on my head, but you can’t
see it since it’s been cut off. Not that it
matters. Linda Lovelace says if you watch
Deep Throat closely, you can see her
bruises. The pleasure is all mine, I say,
even when it isn’t. I can’t remember a
plot, but that’s beside the point. My
tiara is cheap, a child’s toy, and it breaks
without warning. I am not a child, but
I could be. Come closer. Or don’t.

Haven't seen any mention of the Red Wings on here huh? Thank God, I hate 'em, LOL. Your new Chicago friend, Wil.

... Tiaras ...
... Crowns ...
I'll never see them. I'm just a commoner trying to make an honest living like most middle to lower class folks. I could cut corners, break the law, and maybe hit paydirt, but I'm not enough of a risk-taker.

Sometimes a tiara is just a tiara. sometimes not.

I don't really do comments, usually. I ended up on your blog after looking up teachers on rate my professor that I might want to take in the future. After all, if you think about it, it's the teacher you take-- not the course. Anyway, I just wanted to say that since I found your blog, I find myself clicking in when I'm online to see what you've written next. I don't know if I even get poetry half the time; it's like trying to see through fog, for me.

Interesting.

Hope the Cavs get a shot at your Pistons. It's always a great series when they play.

Go Wings! Eliminate the Stars! Win it for Franzen. There's no Mule, but we've got the horsepower(Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom, et. al.). Go Winged Wheelers, on to the Cup!!!!--JLCGULL

POINT-COUNTER POINT
The day so drear is not; Blast off soar above the fray, above the clouds. On through the first darkness then...then you see it. The eye opens and it is all there spread before you. A veritable banquet of universes. The world with no planet. This world, this place of stark darkness and rare beauty, this world is your crown. It is space and light, timeless and limited only by the you and where you place your feet.

Sorry. Couldn't help m'self.

I've been up all night baby, leaning on the window sill. <---Dylan
