Wednesday Addams Asks A Question

It's midweek and in lieu of a post, I will ask a question -- what are your favorite blogs or websites? What form of social networking do you enjoy most and why? I'll be back tomorrow -- hope you're having a great week, my dears!

My favorite blogs are Andrew Sullivan's "The Daily Dish" ( http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/ )and Ta-neisi Coates ( http://www.theatlantic.com/ta-nehisi-coates/ ). BTW, Coates has been fascinated with Detroit of late and reading several books about it. I've picked up "The origins of the urban crisis : race and inequality in postwar Detroit" by Thomas Sugrue after Coates recommended. Also, speaking of Detroit books, I'm in about three quarters through "Middlesex" by Jeffrey Eugenides and I think it's brilliant.

Are you sure what you're drinking is an apple martini? You're sure it's not a green fairy, that little shot of absinthe topped with chilled champagne, the thing old Ernie H. called "death in the afternoon"? You're sure, Michelle?--Tudges Pub

My favorite social networking is "up close and personal." My wife talked me into Facebook, but shit ... I don't even like talking on a phone. As for favorite websites: I like those small-lit mags that offer-up flash-fiction. I like Smokelong Quarterly, Wigleaf, and Staccato. I'm sure there's more, but these are the ones I check on a regular basis.

Blogger in general is my favorite way to go. I'm not naturally a terrible social person and I like the "slowness" of blogger really, how you can read at your liesure and respond.
