Upon My Bed Of Affliction

Dear readers,

I have had a day from Hades complete with a 102 fever and many other fun-filled events that I shall report in due time when I can laugh about them instead of cursing and wishing myself dead. I'll keep you posted as I can and aim to be back tomorrow -- the video is still in the pipeline and Grouchie has been an excellent nurse to his sick Mommy.

Hope you're healed. I noticed your admiration of Raymond Carver in your profile. Did you catch his letters to editor Gordon Lish in the December New Yorker? (I blogged about it.) Whew. The NYer web site has a redacted version of "What We Talk About When We Talk About Love" as well as Carver's unedited version of the same story. Shocking.

More sleep, more Dr. Pepper with cranberry juice, more tequila and then more health.

George Costanza said: Yes sir, it's Randy Newman at Daytona. #12! His hat goes good with my blue plaid shirt. And that Grouchie guy is quite a favorite of mine, if you know what I mean. I mean the one from the blog. Randy Newman isn't Grouchie, or grouchie as far as I know, if you know what I mean. Have a nice day. ;o0
