Comfort Food

Hi readers! Thanks so much for all the sweet comments about my essay. I'm still recovering and hope to have pictures of my scar soon. Today I'd like to ask you a question about food. I'm having to relearn a lot of eating stuff given that my intestines were removed, cleaned, and put back. So far, I've gravitated to comfort food of childhood. What are your favorite comfort foods and why? I'll be back at you tomorrow with another post for New Year's Eve. Happy Tuesday!

Those teeny tiny noodles, with butter and an egg scrambled in, salt and peppered. Mmm! I've had this a few times since being sick all fall/winter and it's the best.

Hello Darling, I love my Mom's chicken and gravy on homemade biscuits. Also once a month, popcorn with real butter. Yum.

Hi Michelle!

Comfort food for me is stuff like grilled cheese sandwiches, mac 'n' cheese, waffles...I do like fried chicken on occasion, too. Bacon is always welcome, too. I try not to eat this kind of food too often as I used to be very overweight, but I do still enjoy it a lot. :)
