Don Cornelius -- The Hippest Train In Town

Rest in peace to the wonderful Don Cornelius -- creator of my favorite show of my entire childhood! This is a sad, sad day.  I'll be writing more about the wonderful Mr. Cornelius later today!

  3. It is sadder because he didn't have to end it the way he did but then maybe like Hunter Thompson he was just tired of all the bullshit.

I am going to assume that it was Soul Train that taught you to dance? Peace Love SOUL!

Soul Train and American Bandstand showed us kids in West Virginia in the 1970s that there was something else in pop culture besides Hee Haw and Lawrence Welk.

    Thanks Don!
