Screen Memory
Am working to get caught up, but I'm grateful for your comments yesterday on the whole dating rules. I laughed about Chris's blonde comment -- ain't that always the way! And Charles -- I'm with you on having very flexible if any rules. Love doesn't work that way, I'm afraid.
Question for today inspired by the Jesse James' interview claiming that his abusive childhood was to blame for his current behavior -- how long is the statue of limitations on blaming the past for the present? Do you guys buy that particular excuse? I haven't formulated a thoughtful response to this issue, so I leave it to you until Saturday when I will post again. Happy Friday!

The statute of limitations can be removed only through reparations!--Sitting Bull
I stopped listening/paying attention to that type of excuse a long time ago.
People who try to explain away their stupidity by saying, "I had a abusive/emotionally started/bitter childhood." have no spine and believe the world owes them one.
They also think that most of the public has a short attention span and will probably forget about it soon.
However, stay tuned for a possible appearance on Oprah where Jesse will give his mea culpa, shed a tear or two, quiver his lower lip and get a bunch of "AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!" from the audience, in which case....
All.
Will.
Be.
Forgiven.
btw: my word verification is "crumi".
I've never seen Sandra Bullock in a movie. Isn't that amazing?--Oscar Winner
Michelle,
The whole using the past for an excuse is something that usually gets my bullshit flag waving. You can only blame the past for your actions for so long.
Wow, nice pic. :)
I'm going to be on the Dick Cavett Show, Michelle!!!!--Art Linkletter
Glad I could be of assistance in the laughter department. It's a hell of a thing isn't it ?
I still can't complain about this Goldie locks. How many are married to a woman that will let her husband run off to the Virgin Islands, build and open a bar ?
I'M starting to wonder when Jesse James will pull out the blame Bush card ? Whine, whine, whine !!! I am worth millions, married to a sexy wealthy woman and it' everybodies else's fault. Should we put him on suicide watch ? Be safe in that little town M . I'M heading South the 5th of June.
Once you've been to the Cadieux Cafe, everything else pales in comparison! And that's no joke!--Marcel VanBesselaere
The 'blame my childhood' game is such a cry for a distracting sypmathy in such cases as jesse James. I'd thought he might do better than that.
Dennis Hopper, man with a "tie-die" mind. RIP.--Easy Rider
I believe that past experiences can have a profound effect on a person (I'm aware of how some of my own molded who am I today,) but there comes a time to "man up," as they say, to get on with it, regardless of what has gone before.
