Hello Kitty received a beautiful set of rings from her dear friend Sarah at Jewelry Art Designs. Check out her wonderful site with the following link! I think the cut and glitter of these two pieces is spectacular.
Gearing up for the Academy Awards (I'll be wearing little outfits and practicing my speech for the best screenplay I didn't write -- my favorite look for accepting an award comes from Larry McMurtry who wore jeans while accepting an Academy Award for Brokeback Mountain). Any of you guys pulling for someone in particular? Of course, I LOVE Jeff Bridges (thanks for the correction-- I always get his name wrong) and have since his debut in Last Picture Show. Happy Friday!

Ever since Cannonball Run was ignored by the Academy in 1980, I have paid no attention to the Oscars.
ReplyDeleteBut since you mentioned movies, have you heard that there will be a theatrical version of Gilligan's Island? Speculation as to the casting is rampant!

I am very much into Philip Seymour Hoffman as Skipper and would love to see Taylor Swift as Mary Ann!
Michell, I've never watched an academy awards show. I barely know that it has something to do with movies and such.
ReplyDeleteI must admit to having won the Detroit Free Press Oscar Contest two years in a row. Honorable mention and then a first. When all your horses come in one by one all night long the tears just start to flow. Just to show you how smart I am, I'll pick Brad Pitt for "Inglourious Basterds" and I don't even know if he was nominated. Cheers. --Oscar Winner
ReplyDeleteI liked Bridges' father in "Sea Hunt."--Jacques Cousteau
ReplyDeleteThe older Cloris Leachman and the young Beau Bridges in "The Last Picture Show," wasn't it? And it was set in a small Texas town. And every thing was kind of going out of business. And wasn't there a guy named Ben the Lion who owned the pool hall and the movie theater? It all seems so long ago.--Gene Siskel

ReplyDeleteIt's Michelle by a nose!!!!!--Cyrano

ReplyDeleteDear Bella, I adore Hello Kitty! My friend little daughter bought a cool HK necklace to give to a friend at a bday party, and I almost had to steal it! Looking forward to your Academy Shenanigans! xoxo

ReplyDeleteAwww geeze just knowing you have a hello kitty anything didn't let me get any further in the post.
ReplyDeleteIt's Jeff Bridges, not Jeff Daniels or Beau Bridges who's up for the award!--Rex Reed
ReplyDeleteMeh. I haven't seen the majority of the movies. I'm gonna watch Hurt Locker tomorrow so I'll root for that.
ReplyDeleteNo problemo. Looking forward to seeing more of you.--Rex

ReplyDeleteThat might be the poshest Hello Kitty I've ever seen. Very lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'm not one for award shows, I'm afraid.
