Arlington Midwest

Dear Readers,
Here's the Saturday pictures! These were taken outside of Arlington Midwest, a war memorial dedicated to the Iraq veterans, inside the city of Detroit. I met some new friends along the way -- these young men graciously offered to pose for the camera before continuing their night. One of the last Tigers games was playing out its ending a few yards away.

  2. Dear Michelle, that is a lovely view of you and interesting of the young men. It also appears like a Tigers game in the background behind the tragic reminder of the War. I would give up Krug if only the War would end. A lovely vigorous post as always to which I send a prayer for peace and a sad bravo.

I hope you had some kind of escort accompanying you. I am concerned about you fraternizing with the local riff-raff. They look harmless enough, but you never know.

Did you buy them some 40's?

    hehehe

  5. Looks like you had fun; It's also nice to see our city notice for the fallen and all who served in this needless conflict.

    Have a great weekend!

My friend Ira just returned from his second tour of Iraq with the Michigan National Guard. I gave him my thanks and my Maltese Falcon cigarette lighter. It was the least I could do. His eight years in the guard earned him forty thousand dollars in educational benefits. He says he'll go to Macomb. He wants to be a teacher!

    HI Everyone!

I would appreciate it if you or anyone else who reads this could tell me where I could buy one of those Maltese Falcon cigarette lighters. If you know where I can get one please give me all the info you can. It would be greatly appreciated!

I just watched the Maltese Falcon again last night and want to buy one for a friend who just got me a replica of the Black Bird.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
