The Catcher in the Rye is one of those post-modern, post-war, Post-Toasties books that everyone is supposed to read and go "Wow. That perfectly captures the teen angst of the Post-Toasties generation."
It did anticipate the whiney, self-absorbed Zeitgeist of the Baby Boom era--talkin' 'bout my generation, baby!
However, I no longer hope that I die before I get old, because I would be dead already and would not be able to enjoy your delightful blog!
